About PurePDFKit
A free, browser-based PDF toolkit
What PurePDFKit Does
PurePDFKit is a small collection of everyday PDF tools: merging multiple PDFs into one, splitting a PDF into smaller files, converting PDF pages to JPG images, converting images into a PDF, and turning phone photos of paper documents into clean, scanner-like PDFs. Each tool is a single page — no account, no wizard, no upfront sign-up. You open the tool, pick a file, adjust a few settings if you need to, and download the result.
Why Everything Runs in Your Browser
Most online PDF tools work by uploading your file to a remote server, processing it there, and sending a result back. PurePDFKit was built to avoid that step entirely. Every tool on this site uses JavaScript running locally in your browser (with libraries such as pdf-lib and PDF.js) to read, edit, and generate PDF and image files directly on your device. Your files are never transmitted to us, which means there is nothing on a server for anyone — including us — to see, lose, or leak. The one optional exception is Google Drive: if you choose to save a result to your own Drive account, that file goes straight from your browser to Google's servers under your own Google account, never through ours. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Guides and Tutorials
Tools are only half of the job. Our guides explain the practical side of working with documents: how to scan paperwork with a phone so it is accepted by offices, how to get a PDF under an upload limit, which resolution to use for screen or print, how to prepare documents for job, university or visa applications, and how to tell whether an online tool uploads your files. Every guide is written for the tools on this site and is available in all 26 languages the site supports.
Languages
The tools and guides are available in 26 languages, from English, Spanish and Arabic to Japanese, Hindi and Swahili. Pick yours with the language button at the top of any tool page; the site remembers your choice.
Who's Behind It
PurePDFKit is built and maintained by an independent developer based in Türkiye. It isn't a venture-funded company or a large team — it's a side project made because everyday document tasks like merging a couple of PDFs shouldn't require installing software or handing your files to an unfamiliar service.
How We Keep It Free
PurePDFKit doesn't charge for any tool and doesn't require an account, so there's no subscription or usage fee funding it. Instead, the site is supported by the display advertising you see on these pages (served via Google AdSense). That's also why keeping this a fast, honest, ad-supported tool — rather than a paywalled one — matters to how the site is run.
